Stephen R. Henshaw, P.G.
President & CEO
With over 20 years of experience, Mr. Henshaw holds professional geology registrations in numerous states. As President and CEO of EnviroForensics , Mr. Henshaw serves as a client and technical manager on projects associated with site characterization, remedial design, remedial implementation and operation, and litigation support and insurance coverage matters. He has acted as Project Manager or Client Manager on over 200 projects. These projects have included landfills, solvent and petroleum refineries, foundries, metal plating shops, food processors, wood treating facilities, chemical manufacturers and distributors, mines and quarries, heavy equipment manufacturers, computer manufacturers, and transporters. He has experience in a variety of geological settings including soft sediments, fractured bedrock, glacial outwash, wetlands, and landslides. Mr. Henshaw has also conducted extensive work in environmentally sensitive areas inhabited by endangered species. Mr. Henshaw’s expertise includes a strong knowledge of industrial operations, past and current industry practices and procedures, and a hands-on, practical understanding of the fate and transport of contaminants in soil and groundwater. He has also served as a testifying expert on behalf of individual landowners and facility operators at several sites impacted by industrial activities and continues to provide technical and litigation support services.

Konrad Banaszak, Ph.D., P.G.
Chief Scientist
In January of 1971, Konrad Banaszak became an Assistant Professor of Geological Engineering at the University Mississippi, where in 1975 he was selected as the Outstanding Teacher of the Year for the School of Engineering. In 1977, Konrad accepted an Associate Professor of Geology at Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis. In June of 1979, Dr. Banaszak joined the Office of Surface Mining Region III as the Geochemical and Ground Water Specialist and as the Coordinator of the University Research Program. In October of 1981, Konrad joined the Indiana District Office of the United States Geological Survey, where he was the Groundwater Specialist and the Chief of the Hydrological Investigations Section in 1982. In the latter position he lead a staff of 50 with a budget of over $2.5m. In September of 1988, Dr. Banaszak opened the Indianapolis Office of Geraghty & Miller (now Arcadis) and quickly became the Groundwater Specialist for the Midwestern Region. In early ‘90s, Konrad was the manager of the office three times while maintaining other positions. At the end of 2002, he had been serving as the Head of the Investigations Business Practice for Arcadis-US, overseeing 42 offices. After a half year on his own, Konrad joined Keramida Inc. as a Senior Vice President in 2003. Dr. Banaszak joined EnviroForensics as Chief Scientist in October of 2008.
While doing various managerial activities, Konrad has maintained a practice of engagement in projects for over half his billable time with expert services for the remainder. He has done a Phase I as recently as early in 2008 and worked at other levels on projects ranging from large developments to gas stations. His active expert work ranges from work in New York City to agricultural chemicals in groundwater in the Central Valley of California, with stops in the Midwest. His particular expertise, which meld into fate and transport, is in hydrogeology and geochemistry. Much of his recent work is involved with vapor intrusion. He holds a BS from Beloit College, an MS and PhD from Northwestern University and is a Certified Professional Geologist.

John C. Bird, P.G.
Vice President
Mr. Bird is a California Professional Geologist with over 20 years of professional experience. He is currently serving as Vice President. Responsible for developing the overall work scope, budget and project tracking, John conducts technical management on several multimillion dollar RI/FS projects involving numerous PRPs under adverse litigious conditions. Mr. Bird’s background includes extensive project experience on large scale, NCP compliant investigations for the public and private sector. He has worked closely in developing community outreach programs, Restoration Advisory Boards (RABs), Technical Review Committees, and other community relations’ activities. With experience in the completion of CERCLA waste removal actions, RCRA oversight/permitting and closure activities and performance of health and ecological risk assessments, John also works with smaller projects involving small businesses, developers and contractors. With many publications and presentations to his credit, Mr. Bird was formerly President of Magellan Environmental, Inc., Vice President of Henshaw Associates, Inc., Program Manager for Versar, Inc., Project Manager for PRA Group/E2C, and Staff Geologist for JHA/BSK.

Greg Zumbaugh, P.E./CHMM
Regional Manager, Midwest
Mr. Zumbaugh is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 17 years of environmental consulting and corporate/industrial experience. He has extensive experience with Phase II Site Investigations (SI), soil & groundwater remediation design/implementation, and indoor vapor mitigation for various sites contaminated with chlorinated solvents, petroleum products, and metals. Mr. Zumbaugh has been responsible for the overall technical/financial management and administration of environmental projects ranging from $1,000 to over $1,000,000.
Mr. Zumbaugh also has a varied background with environmental regulatory compliance, including Clean Water Act (CWA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation Liability Act (CERCLA), and Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) issues. He has conducted dozens of facility Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) audits and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), and prepared hundreds of Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Risk Management Plans (RMP), SARA Title III Form R and Tier II reports, RCRA hazardous waste reports, and air permit applications & annual reports for sites located throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Jeff Carnahan, L.P.G.
Senior Project Manager
Jeff Carnahan is a Senior Project Manager and a Licensed Professional Geologist (LPG) with 12 years of environmental consulting and rememdiation experience. Mr. Carnahan’s expertise has focused on the investigation and interpretation of subsurface releases of hazardous substances for the purpose of evaluating and controlling the risk and cost implications to his clients. He has managed sites ranging in size from retail gas stations and dry cleaners to ~800-acre integrated steel mills and has extensive experience working within voluntary and enforcement cleanup programs for various State agencies and the U.S. EPA. Additionally, Mr. Carnahan has speciallized experience in providing technical support to the legal community regarding the cause, origin, transport and potential cost of environmental releases.

Krishna V. Mayenkar, P.E.
Director Technical Services
Mr. Mayenkar has nearly 30 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment, solid and hazardous waste management, groundwater and soil cleanup, and industrial waste management. He has been responsible for process development, project management, and providing technical guidance and quality control for several national environmental engineering firms. Mr. Mayenkar was responsible for the development of two patented processes: Removal of toxic metals from water and wastewater using iron filings, and generating potable water from oily ballast water.
Mr. Mayenkar has provided expert witness testimony in legal proceedings related to groundwater remediation and authored several papers about water quality assessment, industrial waste management, hazardous waste treatment and disposal, and groundwater and soil cleanup.
Mr. Mayenkar has completed numerous projects in industrial wastewater treatment, soil and groundwater remediation, human risk assessment, remedial system operation and maintenance, and site closures. As part of these projects, he has developed an extensive understanding of the regulations, safety and risk factors associated with the system design, state of the art technologies, operation and maintenance requirements, detailed cost assessments and site closures.
Mr. Mayenkar has extensive experience in Soil Vapor Extraction, Air Sparging, Ozone-Peroxide Oxidation, Enhanced Biodegradation, Iron and carbon in-situ treatment and other remedial technologies. As part ex-situ treatments, he has designed and implemented several biological and physical-chemical treatments including clarification, filtration, carbon adsorption, Reverse Osmosis and UV-Ozonation.

Eric S. Lewis, L.P.G.
Senior Geologist
Mr. Lewis has over ten years of experience in environmental consulting, costing, design, pilot testing, implementation and management of many large-scale investigation and remediation projects for private clients, local municipalities and state agencies. Some of these investigation and remedial tasks include: surface water, ground water and soil sampling; underground storage tank removal; stepped rate aquifer tests; monitoring and recovery well sighting, installation and development; and land surveys.
Mr. Lewis has extensive experience with the following remedies: ground water pump and treat, bioremediations, soil vapor extraction, high vacuum/total fluid extraction, air sparge and soil excavation. Mr. Lewis also has experience with several drilling methodologies such as hollow stem auger, air and mud rotary, ODEX, TUBEX, Sonice and hydraulic percussion.

Hari B. Regupathy
Hydrogeologist
Mr. Regupathy has over seven years of Industrial and academic experience in Hydrogeology, and associated fields. Worked on projects involving geochemistry and geophysics for state government and other private agencies. Some of these investigations include surface water, groundwater and soil sampling, aquifer testing; monitoring and recovery well siting, installation and development; and land surveys. Mr. Regupathy has also experience in shallow geophysical investigation using shear waves and P waves to identify potential bedrock aquifers. Mr. Regupathy has extensive experience in geochemistry of metals and factors controlling their mobility in the groundwater. Mr. Regupathy has worked to develop Phase I and Phase II Reports. He is proficient in field activity management from soil and groundwater sampling events to well installation and site investigation activities. Mr. Regupathy has experience in ushering permitting, waste disposal, sub contractor selection, groundwater monitoring program field management, sample analysis, and report writing. He has worked on bioremediation, Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) and Air Sparging (AS) systems.
Mr. Regupathy has diverse experience in GIS software, AutoCAD, various databases and front ends. He has strong experience in Groundwater flow modeling, contaminant transport modeling and geochemical modeling.
