JOB OVERVIEW
Serve as primary lead on environmental investigation and remediation projects for both public and private clients. Effectively oversee all technical and administrative aspects of assigned projects, maintain accountability for project progress and profitability, and actively promote all company policies and procedures in a positive fashion. Maintain and uphold, and perform in a manner consistent with EnviroForensics’ Core Values. The primary objective of this position will be achieved by meeting or exceeding all criteria set forth below in the job description, goals, and requirements.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Report directly to the Regional Director;
- Work directly with the Regional Director, Senior Project Managers, Project Managers and/or other appropriate levels of management on project-related tasks and responsibilities;
- Actively oversee and ensure the implementation and advancement of all assigned projects;
- Meet prescribed goals for Senior level personnel;
- Effectively implement corporate risk management protocols and procedures on all assigned projects;
- Maintain accountability for all administrative, budgetary, and technical aspects of assigned projects;
- Develop and implement proposals in accordance with best practices and EnviroForensics billing guidelines;
- Continue to develop technical skills in areas of expertise in remedial technologies and stay abreast of innovative and new methods and technologies;
- Work with project teams to evaluate technical data and develop effective remedial strategies to meet client needs;
- Forecast and be aware of potential long-term project costs to achieve regulatory closure and meet client needs for accounting/financial planning;
- Ensure the profitability of all assigned projects;
- Establish and build client relationships;
- Interact effectively with all project stakeholders;
- Schedule and direct Project Managers and other technical and support staff as required;
- Mentor and train Project Managers and support staff to effectively manage projects to objectives and goals and ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures;
- Approve and assume primary accountability for project work scopes and cost proposals;
- Oversee field activities and approve Health & Safety protocols for assigned projects;
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of applicable regulations, statutes, and non-rule policy guidance for State and Federal regulatory programs and ensure that project objectives comply accordingly;
- Review, approve, and maintain primary accountability for all technical documents associated with assigned projects in accordance with EnviroForensics best practices and standard operating procedures;
- Propose, coordinate, implement, and oversee field activities as necessary.
- Participate in occasional business development efforts as required;
- Be familiar with your projects accounts receivables, carrier audits, collections etc. and act in concert with the Controller and Accounting Team to collect past due amounts when necessary.
- Provide timely feedback to the Regional Director regarding the performance of project team members.
GOALS
- Meet or exceed weekly personal Utilization Requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced knowledge in a relevant area of science, geology, and/or engineering customarily gained through attendance and successful completion of a course of study at an accredited university.
- Must have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, or ability to obtain a P.E. license within 6 months of employment
- 8+ years of progressive environmental consulting project management experience.
- Use of discretion and professional judgment.
