Michael Potter is a seasoned, Licensed Professional Geologist with over 23 years of environmental consulting experience in soil, groundwater, air, and surface water investigation and remediation. Michael’s expertise spans a range of environmental services, including 15 years of emergency response for pipeline releases, train derailments, highway tanker-truck accidents, and warehouse fires. These experiences have trained his skills in critical thinking, site investigation, negotiation, and collaboration in high-pressure expedited project remedy and closure. Michael has managed a diverse portfolio of projects, from petroleum service stations and former auto manufacturing facilities to chemical warehouses, printing shops, dry cleaners, electric utility substations, ports, and railyards. He has worked in 24 states under various regulatory jurisdictions, including state and federal EPA and Coast Guard guidelines. He has provided expert consulting on cases involving the release of petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, PCBs, and PFAS while implementing a variety of soil and groundwater remediation and vapor mitigation technologies. In his current role as a Senior Project Manager, Michael leads soil, groundwater, and vapor investigations and cleanups, guiding the communication between responsible parties, attorneys, regulators, and stakeholders. He ensures the development of strategies that meet client objectives and regulatory requirements.
