Nic Downton brings over 9 years of experience in the environmental industry, with a strong background in geology and more than 6 years in environmental consulting. His expertise spans fieldwork, oversight, and project management, focusing on the investigation and remediation of properties affected by various environmental contaminants such as chlorinated solvents, PCBs, heavy metals, PFAS, and petroleum products.
Nic has successfully led numerous complex subsurface investigations across more than eight states in the U.S. He also has hands-on and research experience in regulatory lead sampling and landscape geomorphology, with his work published in the Journal of Geology in 2016.
Known for his logical approach to problem-solving, Nic excels in preparing work plans and scopes, designing proposals, reporting, and managing both internal and external communications and budgets.
